Renewable energy is the electricity produced using renewable energy sources like hydroelectric, wind, solar, tidal, wave, geothermic, biogas and biomass sources.The availability of these sources renews itself because of natural cycles and it doesn’t exhaust, as it instead happens to fossil fuels (methane, oil and coal).

During 2015 183 GWh were produced from renewable sources. Our production comes from wind, solar and biomass sources.

AGSM pays specific attention to make the customer aware about this topic, allowing the customer to subscribe directly to the offer Renewable Energy, personally contributing to environment’s respect with the use of clean energy.

How it works
For the renewable energy a small rise is applied to the chosen offer. AGSM renewable energy can be paired to all the AGSM commercial offers and for the electricity. So you can save and help the environment!

RENEWABLE ENERGY

An energy source is renewable when its exploitation occurs in a period of time that can be compared to the one needed to its regeneration. Contrary to fossil and nuclear fuels, the renewable sources – sun, wind, sea, Earth’s heat – can be considered inexhaustible (cit. Legambiente)

ECOENERGIA AGSM

During the last decade we have realized 2 hydroelectric plants, 5 wind plants and 10 photovoltaic systems. About the development of a plant that uses renewable sources, our philosophy is extended on three areas: economic, social and environmental sustainability, that you can summarize in S.E.E. (social-economy-environment).

ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY: the resource of the place must guarantee a sufficient production with regard to electricity prices and to investment’s costs and it must guarantee the pay back of the plant’s cost in a reasonable period of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: the entries, the civil works, territory’s consumption, the anthropization, the noise and visual perception must be acceptable. To design a plant the usual standard must be not exaggerating.

SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY: the project must always interact with the local community; the reasons behind the plant’s conception must be discussed and shared with residents, who have to be active participants to the plan. The plan must add value to the territory and it has to contribute to economic benefits of the local community.

Consorzio_Zai

Consorzio ZAI (Verona)

Between 2009 and 2010 photovoltaic plants were installed on 11 roofs of industrial buildings in consorzio ZAI, for a total surface of 71.440 mq. To this day, it is the biggest photovoltaic system realized by AGSM, with an average annual production of 3.738.701 kWh.

Hydroelectric plant Maso Corona (Trento)

In 1958 the hydroelectric system of Leno was realized. It uses the water flow that goes down from Specchieri’s dike, in Vallarsa, at 800 m above; it uses also the turbines installed into the production plant at Maso Corona (TN) which are hit at 380 kph. The power of the plant is 40 MW. Every year at Ala, 67 millions of KWh are produced; it is the consumption of more than 15.000 families.

Wind plant Casoni di Romagna (Bologna)

The plant was totally designed and realized by AGSM on Appennino Tosco-Emiliano, in the Districts of Monterenzio and Castel del Rio, in Bologna’s province. Activated since January 2009, it is composed of 16 windmills of 800 KW each one, for a total power around 13 MW.

Wind plant of Rivoli Veronese (Verona)

Activated since 2013, the wind plant of Rivoli Veronese is composed of 4 windmills of 2MW each one, for a total power of 8 MW. Built on mount Mesa, every year it is able to produce 16 millions KWh of clean energy, equal to the requirement of 20.000 people (about 6.000 families) and so equal to 10 districts densely populated like Rivoli Veronese.
